Why do you not have rulers on Lightroom?

This would be helpful for product shots (i.e. lighters and torches) that need to be cropped to have the same product height as their previous photos.

My “two pennies worth” on this question-  The Lightroom apps are parametric editors (as opposed to Pixel based editors like Photoshop.).

A parametric photo editor is a non-destructive image editing application that saves edits as a set of instructions (parameters) rather than altering the original pixel data.

Until you export a derivative image (TIF, JPG), or open in a pixel editor after a crop in Lightroom, your image does not have ‘cropped’ pixel dimensions that can be related to a physical size by resolution (PPI). Only then, in a pixel editor, does a ruler make sense.

    Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.4.1, Photoshop 27.8, ACR 18.4, Lightroom 9.4, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .

I think I requested this too in another post! Literally the most obvious feature that should have been added since day one!

I don’t understand why developers haven’t added this, since the coding format already exists from other adobe apps (photoshop, premiere pro, etc)

I’m on Lightroom Cloud (Desktop) by the way.

    Hey @roselletorres

Would this be for the Desktop, iPad, or Mobile version? Can you share more about in which tool you  you would like to see this ruler?
