why does LR change the color settings of my Raw photos

when bringing an image into lightroom, the images are in my filmstrip at the bottom, when I click on the image, LR makes changes to it... color, exposure and white balance changes. How do I reset so that LR does not make those changes?

At first you see the camera-generated jpeg preview (embedded in the file). Then you get the Lightroom rendering at default settings - obviously a different starting point because it's a very different raw processor. There's no such thing as a "right way" with raw files. That's why we shoot raw.

How to make it keep my orginial upload? I don't like the LR change of colors, whites etc.
