Why does LR Mobile change my settings?

I have an Android phone, S22. I don't do edits on it, I only want to show the images that I sync with Adobe from the Lightroom classic collections. When I open the LR app on the phone, it shows all photos, and they look good. As soon as I tap on an image, it opens for a second looking great, and then it turns dull, as if it's applying a default edit or removing the edits I made in LRC. If I do a slideshow, they look fine, but if I want to show just one image, it changes it. I do not use the app often, should I be opening the images differently for showing one at a time instead of taping or is there a setting that tells it not to apply any edits? I don't see an option for "do not apply settings" in the Photo Import options. Thanks.
