Why the red masking doesn't go away while I am editing?

I use Linghtroom CC on my pc computer. The recent updated version of LR has not been working on the gradient feature. Everytime I mask an area with a gradient tool I can not see the editing changes because the red masking doesn't go away. Is there a setting that I may have missed that would make it wor?. The LR on my iPads work just fine but I would like it work on my PC as well. Can anyone help me on this?

Press the 'O' key to toggle the visibility of the mask.

    Thank you, Johan for your advice. I tried it and it worked but it is not as easy as the ipad version.
