(Win10) Lightroom Classic v11.5 crashes when Selecting Subject Mask (DirectML.dll)

Question

Windows 10. 32 GB RAM
LR crashes when using subject masking but not with the brush.
Tried disabling my graphics processor (updated 8/22/22). Crashes with or without Off or Auto.
I've sent numerous error reports. No reply.
Would appreciate some support.

I have the same issue, but with Windows 11. If I restart Lightroom and retry to select subject, it works after 2-3 tries, and then once it's worked once, it consistently works for the rest of the time that I have Lightroom open. I've tried it with the GPU enabled and disabled and that makes no differnce to how it works.

Windows, Lightroom and drivers are all up to date.
