With Free Lightroom Camera Freezes Up After About 4 Photos

It is hard to see the screen on my phone outside and the camera stops working after about 4 photos and there is no notification so if I keep taking photos they are all lost. Is this just an issue on the free software and is there a workaround other than turning off Lightroom and starting it over?
