Question

Dirt Filter V4.3.0

Hi,

I am trying to use the dirt filter in the latest version. I was testing it on top of the Suede material in the starter assets.

When the dirt filter is applied it looks nothing like the filter did in previous versions... a lot of the options are no longer available and I am having trouble getting it to look good.

It also seems to just take over the normal map.  I have tried adding the dirt texture generator as the custom grunge input... which gives more control... but it still completely takes over the suede normal  map... even in places there shouldnt beany dirt.

Can you please confirm I am using this correctly... or suggest how to overcome this (without rolling back the version of Sampler).

Thanks.

Hello @leighv123,

You can rollback your Substance Sampler (or any other CC ap) at anytime.

In steam

RMB on the app > Properties > Betas

A lot of filters have indeed changed with 4.3.0 for optimization purposes, and also to work with the new texture generators.

In order to get a similar result than with 4.2.2, you can enable the Custom Grunge, and place the Dirt texture generator in input.

That being said, we're investigating on a potential bug related to the dirt generator. So could you share a screenshot of your issue?

Let me know.
