My project need to read a stream input from an IP camera and stream out to FMS. We have the need that user is viewing the camera feeds which is a little bit older. For example , now it 11:30 AM, the user is actually viewing the feed at 11:29.My purpose is so that the client is viewing camera feed which is 1 mins old from now which gives us the response time to shutdown the cemera if emergency happens. So anyone help me whether I can do this? Thanks in advance.
I have created html5 video player with fallback option to flash player on Adobe Media Server 5.0. one can watch live as well as recorded videos. it works fine with the video mp4 file. Recently uploaded a pre-recorded HD file(Sorensen Squeeze 9. Codec: MP4 YouTube 1080) and facing latency. Do I need to change the configuration to incorporate adaptive bitrate? this video player finds out mobile/non-mobile browser and then goes from there. Also for live stream it uses different hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.f4m (for non-mobile browser , flash player)hls-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.f4m(for mobile/ios browser)what's the role of hds-vod in this scenario?
Hi all,I have a live feed video that contain dual audio (left = Englisg, right = Chinese). Can i use Adobe Live Media Encoder to encode with English audio mono ONLY so that FMS can stream it to user with left&right = English audio?Thank you.
Hello everybody,i am trying to improve the conditional access procedure for our VOD service and i can't find any way howto get the VOD filepath requested by the client inside server side action script application (and use it to apply the business rules).Taking an example, here is what i need:- client is requesting service rtmpe://fms.vodservice.com/vodapp for file mp4:/vodlocation/my_requested_file.mp4- inside main.asc, prefferably in application.onConnect i would like to use the requested filepath "mp4:/vodlocation/my_requested_file.mp4" asinput for conditional access procedure. Is this possible ? And how ?Thank you in advance!
I would like to write a server side actionscript application that secures individual files. It seems like there is a chance to accept or deny a connection during the onConnection function, but I don't see a place to accept or deny a play request on a particular file.Is this available in server side actionscript?

Hi, I have a server side actionscript application working for RTMP, and I would like to reuse this code for HTTP connections. Is this possible?
Hi,I have built an OSMF player that allows users to seek to where they were when resuming, but also to scrub back to the beginning.EG: A stream is 1 minute long.User starts play at 25 seconds.User can scrub back to 5 seconds or forward to 55 seconds. This works perfectly with RTMP - TimeTrait reports correctly and video displays correctly.EG: Start at 25 seconds, TimeTrait reports: duration = 60, current position = 25 and displaying video is 25.Seek to 5 seconds rewinds to current duration = 60, position = 5, displaying video is 5.But...With HTTP streams...Start at 25 seconds. TimeTrait reports: duration = 60, current position = 25 and displaying video is 50.Seek to 5 seconds rewinds to before the start of the stream and gives me a media complete... end of stream.Start at 30 seconds, TimeTrait reports duration = 60, current position = 30 and displaying video is 60 so gives me a media complete... end of stream. It is pretty clear that what is happening is that HTTP stream seeking is reset
We are using livepkgr to capture audio with AMS Standard running on a linux server. When we close an audio capture session with: nsPublish.attachAudio(null); nsPublish.close();it takes some time for the server to finish writing all the captured audio to an .FLV file. My question is how to detect the completion of this process. This is important to know because we want to move the FLV file to a more permanent storage as soon as it is complete.Thank you very much!
Am I able to import Mp3 files with this tool?
I've found documentation on line that suggests it is possible to set up a Hot Failover version of Adobe Media Server in a Disaster Recovery Environment. It seems there might be a fee involved to make this happen. Can anyone help me with the process to make hot failover a reality?
Hi AMG community,Recently I read in http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/legal/licenses-terms/pdf/AdobeMediaServer_5.0.pdf, that"there is a limitation of twenty five (25) "Concurrent Connections" when using SIP;"1) What does "Concurrent Connections" means above?2) Is it possible for 1000 AMS application instances to concurrently connect to AMG leg service? What is the limit and is it configurable?3) How many concurrent audio/video streams can a leg hold? Thanks,Sahil.
Hello,I have developed a video transmission and viewing application . I am facing a problem of one way video latency of about 6 seconds.Adobe says that the latency can be reduced to about 3 seconds one way. I have set up the buffertime for transmitter about 3 seconds. Please can anyone suggest me how to reduce the latency from 6 seconds to about 3 seconds ??I have no issues regarding the bandwidth , but can anyone suggest the proper optimization technique for CPU and memory usage .What should be the ideal configuration for minimum latency. Currently my audio and video transmission one way is 6 sec and hence 2 way for both is 12 -14 sec.Kindly guide me how to resolve the problem. Thanks,Chinmay Chitale

We just migrated our service to FMS 4.5. Since our new server is in production, we started having the following error message in the core.log files:The FLV segment cache is fullThere is very little information about this problem on the web. The only information found is to increase the value of parameter SERVER.FLVCACHE_MAXSIZE in the fms.ini file. We tried this:SERVER.FLVCACHE_MAXSIZE=2000Increased the cache size only delayed the problem from a few hours to 1 day. It seems that FMS 4.5 is filling up the cache without cleaning anything. Note that we are doing a very high number of video recordings. The only way to solve the issue is to restart the FMS service. One week ago, we were running FMS 3.5.7 on Windows 2003 and we never had this issue. FMS was running with 500Mb of cache and was working fine for years. This bugs has appeared since we moved to the FMS 4.5 on a Windows 2008 server.Coincidentally, Adobe released the 4.5.3 patch that i
Every once in a while we get the following errors in FIMS 4.5 edge log file and stream stop to work for the affected vhost until we restart FMS:2014-11-07 19:40:59 28122 (i)2581537 Resending StartCore message to master (vhost: vhostnamehere, app: , inst: , tag: _2). Server is an Intel Xeon E5405 running CentOS 5.1 with 16 GB RAM.The error does not cause other vhosts to work just the affected one. Although the error seems to occur ar random times and not when server is under heavy load, here is a snapshot of the memory usage while the error is being reported and after FMS is restarted fixing the problem: total used free shared buffers cachedMem: 16434952 14240400 2194552 &nbs
Hey everybody,First time posting so take it easy on me if I step out of boundaries or thread protocol... no malicious intention or laziness intended. I'm banging my head against the wall on this.Running the default install of Adobe Media Server 5 Standard on a Windows Server 2008 box. We've been streaming VOD fine using Flash (.flv) over rtmp for years. Our VOD storage location is a large SAN connected to the server via fiber and mounted permanently as E:\ The content streams fine. BTW: We chose the SAN location when we ran out of local storage on the server itself. I moved all of the VOD content to the SAN. I specified virtual directory mapping to E:\media in the Application.xml file and everything is great.Skip ahead to today, we want to stream .mp4 over HTTP instead of .flv over RTMP. I've searched and searched for the correct location and proper syntax to create a virtual directory mapping in httpd.conf in the Apache
Hi there,Is it possible to have my old FMS 3.5 on the same server as I have Wowza 3.6 installed? The server is windows Server 2012 R2.I have installed the FMS, but it does not start up after installation, and the bat-files cannot start/stop the service either. It doesn't make a difference if I go to Services to start them up manually, the sample files still doesn't work.Any suggestions? Thanks in advanceHC

The streams transmits fine to all connected users.having the user stop and start/append doesn't resolve the issueusing different record applications (*all using netstream.publish()) doesn't resolve the issueany Ideas?
Dear support staff,Can AMS 5.x co-exist with FMS 4.5 on the same server?Because i need to keep FMS 4.5 for some demo purpose but also need to test AMS for further planning reference.Thanks.
Adobe Media Server 5.0.3 * LoadVars classCan you use this LoadVars class to send a HTTP POST with form data, so as to upload content to Amazon Web Services S3?If not, is there any other way you can do this with the scripting API?
I see that Adobe provides a WebService class to use with Server-Side ActionScript for consuming SOAP services. I'd like to perform more basic HTTP calls. It looks like this is potentially possible using XML.send(), but this is limited to POST and sending XML only.Is there a generic way to make HTTP calls? I tried using XmlHttpRequest but it appears this isn't included with FMS.
Why not enter the Flash Media Playback setup website? My Live & Vod Flash Service can't run.Is Flash Media Playback termination of services?
How can I upload a recorded video file from Adobe FMS running on Amazon EC2 to Amazon S3 bucket after the file is created from RTMP stream?I can't mount an S3 bucket with a write access, since "It is not technically possible to record files to the S3 bucket". http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/amazonec2/WS6fc2df2b6d2ce2431afba23c12c3967d3ca-7ff1.html#WS0432746db30523c21e63e3d12c9b337c0c-8000I can't use Amazon CloudFront for streaming, since it does not support custom origins with Streaming distributions.Currently I have one FMS running on a Amazon EC2 (Adobe AMI) instance with EBS to store the content and the application is on another Amazon EC2 instance. The whole idea is to use Amazon Elastic Load Balancing and CloudFront. FMS would be used only for creating the user contributed video content from RTMP stream.I'm hoping there are others who have solved this issue.
