Whenever I play a sample video from the VOD in the sample media player, or anytime I view a live stream in the sample player or anything else, It only plays videos once, whether it's live streaming or a VOD sample. Restart AMS and it plays again, but only once. After that it refuses to play anything. I am running the sample player on the AMS under localhost. Works once, stops working, restart, it works once then stops working. What the heck is the matter with this server? I'm not doing anything but default actions right from the documentation. Also note, we have the developer version and I believe that gives us 10 simultaneous connections at once max. We don't have anything close to that. With no support from Adobe to speak of, how do people ever solve problems with this product? Does everybody just post here and wait for three days for an answer if they ever even get one at all?

Is this possible that satellite audio/vedio feeds take by adobe system and give me the RTMP and RTSP Link

Does Media Server has  a way to  add only certain users to view a stream?

I can not access the media on the server. I am running CentOS 7 with the latest Media Starter Server. What I am able to do is access the admin console, and stream on the adobe local host page and even place a player code to a video file into a Weebly web page and it play on the server computer. But once I try to do that from another computer, in or out of the network, it does not connect. The odd thing is that the admin console will show an attempted connection when I do that. Port tester shows all ports are success. I am not sure what to check at this point. Can anyone give me some ideas?

Hi,I am trying to get two way video conference call from Sip phone to FMS app via FMG. Video stream from Sip phone to sample FMS application via FMG is working fine. But video stream from FMS application to Sip phone is buggy (It shows only horizontal lines & nothing else). I tried with various setting in videoquality.xml file but no success. Hi guysI like to transfer file between FMS users.My users connect to FMS correctly and upload their files from AS3 FileReference to FMS in ByteArray and on the FMS I return this ByteArray to other clients joined.So  I like to show progressive download for client when they are download ByteArray from the FMS.Please advice me to do that.Any help will be appreciated.Thank you

Does anyone know why ever since the last update to the flash player I have been constantly crashing? And I mean CONSTANTLY!! Once it starts crashing it keeps doing it until it freezes my PC..I have uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and it was fine for 6 days and then started doing it again tonight. Uninstalled again..reinstalled again...but it gets so bad I can't even shut down my PC properly. I am running Mozilla Firefox (up to date) on Windows 7...Help!!

I've set up an instance of AMS on AWS via the one-click install through the marketplace, and can log in via SSH, but cannot log in to the Administration Console. I have followed the steps to set up the admin user for the AMS admin console:1. Set the SERVER.ADMIN_USERNAME in /opt/adobe/ams/conf/ams.ini2. Set the password via ./amsadmin -console -user [username] and verified that the salted password is written to conf/Users.xml3. Restarted the server and adminserver via ./amsmgr and verified they are runningYet I still cannot log in to the Administration Console. After entering the Public DNS, username and password, I receive the message: "Login attempt to the server below failed. Please verify your login information and try again." Are there any other ways to troubleshoot this issue?Thank you!

I guess it's a very basic problem, but I'm very new to Flash and Flash media Server and I need a very fast answer...Currently I'm working on a Director project using a flash program which connects to Flash Media Server (I guess version 3, it's quite old). Unfortunately they forgot to make a flash method to send the actual userlist (or a notification when someone logged in or out) to Director. AND, unfortunately, they lost the source code of that flash programm, so I cannot look into it or alter it *sigh*.Now I want to do a new flash programm which covers the old one, letting all known methods "pass trough" and building an additional method to gain the user list (or login/out notification). How do I get the login information from Flash Media Server? (Would be good if you could provide an idea already for flash code... as I said I'm a tard at flash till now)Thank you so much. Can I upgrade the Apache Tomcat to 2.4.X that ships with Adobe Media Server 5 without causing any problems? It is currently at 2.2.21 I believe and is somewhat out of date... Thanks!

I am running Flash Media Server on my Windows 2008 R2 server, and am trying to get HTTP live streaming working. I am using Flash Media Live Encoder to stream to the server. I can get a basic RTMP stream to work without issue, however anytime I setup to stream to a basic HTTP live stream, I get the generic "We are having problems with playback. We apologize for the inconvenience." in the basic Flash Media Playback player. I had a few live audio sessions running on AMS 5 last night.  Most went fine.In once session (the clients use a buffer of zero in order to prevent any buffering) the audio was delay.  The audio would stop for an extended period of time, then rush into the session (i.e. you would hear 20 seconds of audio in 1 second).The audio is recorded on the server and is perfect.  Therefore, there was clearly an issue on the AMS side distributing the audio to 50+ users.  There were another 50+ users in other sessions receiving live audio which did not have issues.My assumption is the particular application instance handling the session with the delayed audio was not getting enough resources to handle the load?  Memory or CPU must have been bottlenecked, causing a performance issue?I'm wondering if there are settings which are most relevant to increasing performance in this scenario.There were no errors in any logs related to performance.

I am running Adobe Media Server 5.0.5 on a Windows 2008 server.  The current version of the Apache software is 2.2.21.  During our most recent vulnerability scan our server was identified as needing to be upgraded/patched to the latest version of Apache 2.4.10 for denial of service attacks.Do you know if it is possible to upgrade the current version to the latest version of Apache, and if so are there any issues I need to be concerned with since Apache is integrated within the Flash Media Server?  Specific instructions on this would be great as I am new to configuring Apache.thank you

Does Adobe or anyone have any benchmarks or or information on overhead used by these different protocols? Excluding bandwidth limitations, any idea how many connections can be achieved on a single server using the default out of the box configuration? Say a Dual Xeon E5504 Quad Core with 16 GM RAM. Just trying to get an idea how many concurrent connections is possible off such a server for live broadcasts. Couldn't find any benchmarks from Adobe.

Hello,I'm running Media Server 5 running on Windows Server, and I'm trying to use the HTTP live streaming feature. The video plays correctly, but has a very long (40 second) lag.I tried viewing the same stream over RTMP, with much better lag (>2 seconds) - so this seems to be an HTTP specific problem.Does anybody know what could be causing such high lag when using HTTP mode? I am trying to log into the Adobe Media Server Admin console. I am not trying to open it up from the AMS itself, and instead I am opening it from by desktop outside of the sever. I can see the AMS homepage, and I can click to launch the admin console. I am using the user named amsadmin and the password I gave it when i first created the AMS instance and logged in using a terminal session. It asked me to add a password for amsadmin and i gave it one. Now, when I try to log into the admin console, it denies me. I read that I had to use the same user name and password that I used to initially log into the AMS to first time it opened up Note, that I am trying to access this browser based console from outside of AMS. The index.html page comes up fine from the outside. So which user name and password should I use? This is also a linux cent os AMS which doubles the complications.

Hi there,We have set up our AMS5 server to stream with livepkgr.   What we would like is for people who connect to the stream to start listening in sync with where the broadcast is at.  We don't need people to go at the start of the broadcast.   The broadcaster may be streaming as they set up what they want to share and then share the link with the intended audience.When watching the stream with via RTMP, its basically around 1-2 seconds behind the actual broadcast - which is excellent.   When watching with HDS, it always goes at the start of the stream.   If the broadcaster has been streaming for 5 minutes before being ready (depending on the content they need to share), the viewer will be watching from the start with the unwanted potential to see things they are not supposed to.Now we set up the event as follow:/home/ams/applications/livepkgr/events/_definst_/liveevent/Event.xml:<Event>  <EventID>liveevent</EventID>&
