I understand this has been asked a lot but really have no idea why the model below can't be rigged. it always said i need to put markers on the character

why not = because its off set

fix = open it in your editor of choice and move the model so its standing flat on the ground plane

then just export it and carry on... well done for adding the file, that saves a lot of time
