Mixamo add-on does not work in 5.0+

Can't get "Create Cotnrol Rig" or "Zero Out Rig" buttons to work on mixamo rigs. Just get the following errors.
Couldn't even get the add-on install to out-of-the-box without finding someone else's solution to fix a line of code in the .py file.
