Mixamo add-on for Blender 4.0 doesn't work

Current Mixamo add-on version 30377 doesn't work in Blender 4.0 beta. Maybe developers could fix something in the code. It will be very nice. Yeah, this version of Blender still in beta, but the release on November 7th and it needs to be ready to work. Thank you!

I'm completely new to Blender/Mixamo so I have all 'new' installations with no prior versions. I'm trying to folow a video course for Godot. As my primairy goal is to have a character for GoDot.
The 'Xbot' was downloaded 12-01-2024 as binairy in T position straight from the mixamo site.
I got the updated mixamo version from your link as the 'official' version was completely not working at all. Although I tested the original mixamo version, I had removed it. To be sure I have the right files, I just binairy compared my local files with your supplied links and they match a 100%.
When importing the model I'm not asked for any settings, where to find them?

I just retried to try the re-importing and now everything is working!!! The difference is that my laptop was rebooted just a minute ago due to an update. So possible that something was not completely correctly installed as I tried the mixamo updated version. Sorry for all the fuss and inconvenience.

I get following message with your latest Blender 4.0 fix. It was installed without issue. I get the message when applying 'Create Rontrol Rig' to the supplied model. To be able to upload it I renamed it to '.jpg' just remove the last name part. Hopefully you will find it.

Bloody attachements were removed 😞

So my blend file I cannot send. I imported attached fbx file in a blank drawing and tried to add the control rig.

The solution to the problem install blender 3.0 from here Index of /release/ (blender.org) if you cannot apply the new animation without skin then simply first create control rig on the model you want to add the animation then apply the skeleton with the animation.

Solution: Don't use Blender 4.0

Yeah, Could they please fix this, I was working on a project, and would really love to stick to Blender 4.0, its causing me a headache, i thought i could use, rigify, but mixamo's offers a faster workflow for me. Even when installing it takes longer and halts for some reason now, and i have to click to the side or resize the window to show the addon, when i proceed to activate it, the error pops up.

Use at your own risk.

If you comment out line 7 by making the first character on the line a #

in c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\4.0\Scripts\addons\mixamo_rig\lib\version.py

The error will go away and it appers the plugin will work. Do your own testing before using in producton there may be other dependencies.

this has nothing to do with Adobe... the add-on maker isn't staff as far as i'm aware but just some coder helping old software users out.... if he or she wants to update to 4 when it goes live then that should be pretty basic edit

No, as far as I know, its an official add-on. So yes, it has all to do with Adobe, I'm afraid. I'm looking for the same solution as well.
