Mixamo Blender Plugin Install Problem

I've tried to install the plugin, but I think something is missing before I complete. My Steps, 1. Edit > Preferences > Install> Locate the install folder> Install Addon and once complete, I don't see the Animation Mixamo Rig plugin in the list. I need this to make everthing work. I have included the only thing that indicates animation in 1 of the 2 screenshots.

The addon is not working for windows. Any suggestions?

this thread is about needing to install the addon as a zip file, which is because thats the way Blender is designed and works in both Mac or Windows i.e, a Blender issue and nothing to do with Adobe

your addon is not working = open a thread and tell us why you think it isn't working... just to be clear, its working correct on my Windows systems

I have the same problem. Any solution? (I know how to install and add-on thanks). I note that youtubes about installing it have different names for the zip file. The one I downloaded is Mixamo_rig.

Whoa. Solved it. I use a Mac and Safari automaticaly opened the zip file. For some reason it will only install from a zip file, not a folder. After fixing Safari and downloading the zip file the problem was further exacerbated as the folder version had been installed into the Blender directories but was not useable as an add-on. So after installing from the zip there were now two installations that Blender complained about until I manualy deleted the folder version from the file system.
