Option to Rig avater fbx not showing up ever

I have tried 3 different browsers an FBX and OBJ file aswell as seperate avatars (default and custom) imported from CLO3D, every time I import them into Mixamo their arms are disjointed and noodley, this is obviously fixed when re-rigging the skeleton but when I upload any avatar the rigging/placing joints section is completely skipped, is there any way to stop it from auto mapping the skeleton, it's furstrating that every tutorial has a step that simply does not appear for me.

  • i assume by disjointed and noodley you mean the weight maps are messed up?
  • yes Mixamo will skip the rigging step if it detects bones already in place... this is by design and the whole point of Mixamo is to auto map the skeleton so the correct workflow is to rig bones first then convert them or repair weight maps as needed
  • i don't know anyone using CLO3D but I know lots of people using Fuse or iclone
