Sorry unable to map your existing skeleton

I get the following log when I open the inspector. I've been dealing with this for 2days already my 3d modeller doesn't know why it works for him and it doesn't for me.

I have attached the screen capture on how I am uploading my 3d character.

it doesn't work because the file type is wrong... if you share the model i'd try and repair it
