unable to map skeleton - driving me insane

hey guys, is it possible we could get a list of common issues that causes this to happen

having searched the internet extensively, it appears, things likre mapping anything other than diffuse, could affect it, polycount could affect it, having cameras or lights or anything other than the polygons and joints could affect it - but there is no official documention of criteria

i have a rig, that back in may, i uploaded to mixamo fine, but today when i pop back in, its suddenly giving me this error again

I dont know whats changed between now and may, but it no longer is willing to upload my rig. i dont want to use mixamo's rig, because the joint placement is always off, and the skinning is poor - i have a rig that is ready to go

can anyone offer up any advice?

ill try to post the rig shortly

(NOTE: yes it has a tail, but that hasnt been an issue in the past)

p.s, for other people wondering what a type 2 Fbx is, why they break and how to fix them... type 2 is basically a GLB file pretending to be Fbx

if you really must use them then open in whatever tool you have that can open it, save as Glb then open that in Blender and convert to Fbx or whatever

translation = Glb files are crap... avoid them if you can

out of mild interest,

those bones would need to be removed before it will rig again and you clearly know the Mixamo system isn't designed for non-humans so whats the point?

the basic issue is one of file type

Blender will not open type 2 files and most other software loads it with mistakes like example of head drifting off shown

the actual tail is fine and Mixamo will just treat it as another leg attached to the groin marker... don't have it pointing up above the neck and it should not cause major issues
