I have the same problem. I've tried everything: different network different files and commands, reinstalling the PS... Nothing helped. Generative fill simply doesn't work any more... 
Does anyone can help to fix it?

    Same issue. Generative fill simply does not work no matter what I type, try, or select. It worked fine (albeit with those annoying community guidelines popups even though it's let's say a dumb chair), but it's completely broken now.

      from today morning i'm facing error while gnerating saying: "an error occured please try again later" is there any solution for this? i got an project lined up and i cant be able to use gen fill.

      For the "violating" error : type "remove" in the text box when you want the auto generation. And it works all the time 😉

      I'm also getting an endless number of "violated user guidelines" errors, usually if anything even remotely the color of human skin is involved. It appears that Beta v25.0.0 is not yet ready for prime-time...

        Reverting back to older beta app fixed the problem for me.

            Yeah it's not working with too 😞

            I tried it once today and it worked but now it gives me 408 error sign.

              Just started getting the same error about an hour ago, was working fine earlier today. Restarted, tried different files, different selections, etc.

              And now it just started working again!

              Is Generative Fill reading this forum...

                Same issue here ! Since last update ... 

                only solution found : create a second layer of image ; remove the zone you wanna change ; create a selection. A little bit large than that deleted zone and generate 

                seems to work for now

                  this problem exists for over a month or more. adobe incompetence in this problem is huge
