Question

How do I get back the Select Reference feature in Generative Fill?

The Select Reference feature in Generative Fill is very useful, I used it a lot in Photoshop (Beta).

But today after I updating it to 26.1, the feature is gone. Is there any method to turn it on, or which version should I downgrade to get it back? (cannot find the beta version on CC version list anymore)

Use the Generative Workspace.

Thank you for your reply! I know there is a similar feature in workspace, but they are actually different use cases.

For example, in the older version, I want add a lamp with a specific look to this image, I can just pick a reference image and it just output what I want directly. But in the new version, I need to randomly generate tons of lamps and still couldn't get a satisfied one. That really took a lot of efforts to do what older version can do.

Yes.  The Reference Image option is now in the Generative Workspace as my green highlight in my second screen shot.  It works just like it used to.  It's just in a different location.
