Don't lose access to Generative AI features in Photoshop! Upgrade your copy of Photoshop (beta) to version 25 or higher.

On August 14th at 11am Pacific time versions of the Photoshop (beta) application older than version 25 will lose access to the Generative AI features. Users will experience an error stating - "The service is not responding. Please check your internet and try again." when trying to use the generate capability. Simply get a new build (version 25 and higher) using the Creative Cloud Desktop application to regain access to this feature.

@Ed Hart no - you uninstall that beta then install the latest beta update. Betas have a ton of iterative/manditory updates before a GA release.

I can't use the new feature "Create Fill", I don't know what's wrong with it.

Photoshop Beta no longer appears in my CCD so I'm unable to uninstall or update it. Not sure how to fix the issue. I'm on macOS Monterey 12.5. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There are serious errors with Photoshop Beta 25 which the Adobe team obviously knows about. I was told that in order to fix the problem, I should roll back to the previous version. I did that and it was fine. I've logged in today and you now can't use the generative fill feature on the previous versions and it pops up saying you MUST download version 25. This version doesn't work with Lightroom!!!!!!!! Why have you done this, it's so frustating!!!

I'm just adding a comment so I'll be in the loop if there is any news. In the meantime I have uninstalled PS Beta 24.7 as it no longer allows Generative Fill. I look forward to sending images from Lightroom Classic to Photoshop Beta to use Generative Fill when the Lightroom problem gets mended. Or when mainstream PS has Generative Fill.

I am trying to use Generate Fill in Photoshop Beta. I have used it in the past, and it has worked but not the load bar goes green and then doesn't do anything, just stays loading.

When i am trying to use Generative Fill feature, i keep recieving an error

'An error occured during image generation: error request_task: 400 Bad request'

it is not related to photos i tried to use, or prompts. I had the same error at every image n prompt i tried.

what is the solution? any idea?

i have not tried to update my program to V25.0...., i dont have yet.

any solutions?

You still have not fixed Photoshop Beta version 25 to allow us to send our photos straight from Lightroom Classic to edit them in Photoshop Beta version 25. This has been going on for a very long time and now you have taken away generative fill from Beta version 24.7 which was our temporary fix until you fixed the situation where we are not able to send photo straight from Lightroom Classic to PS Beta version 25. Please fix this.

For the past couple of week it seems that the whole PS world is having problems opening images from LR and supposedly the "fix" is to roll back Beta to the previous version. That worked for me, but unfortunatly Beta generative fill does not work anymore with the previous version and the new version is not yet fixed with the LR issue, which leaves me with zero ability to use Beta for testing and Gen Fill. I've never in 10 years seen so many people having problems with PS because of this LR issue and it's maddening that we have no way to know what to do, or when it's going to be fixed. Plus, everyday Adobe Creative Cloud is prompting me to update, but I can't becasue the updates break my workflow. How will we know when Adobe actually gets it fixed and working properly?

All very well but v25 does not work properly with Lightroom. Open with Photoshop causes a 'hang'. We were advised to downgrade to 24.7 to fix this and keep generative fill. Would be OK if the open with Photoshop from Lightroom were fixed. Now if we want generative fill we must put up with the other open with bug.

Although it still works like a hack I timed it and it was like a little over 2 mins for Lightroom to open it in photoshop beta and respond to it. When I have a lot of images to edit and wanting to use the gen fill option I'll be sitting there for days on end to finish a project. This is unacceptable and a reason I left adobe premiere pro as they never resolved the issue with Nikon N-Raw file not compatible with premiere. Adobe is slacking on me for something I pay monthly for. No reason to now all of a sudden make 24.7 not work with gen fill and "making you update" to something that doesn't even work properly. Fix the main issue 1st, which is make sure 25.0 works flawless with Lightroom with gen fill before disabling it for 24.7 that worked fine

The above rant I posted above was long because I was frustrated at 1st like many. but messing around I have found a quick fix solution that works for the time being. Roll back Lightroom classic to version 12.2.1 and it will work flawless with photoshop beta 25.0 (like it did with 24.7) yes we won't have the newest version of Lightroom classic but it will make it work normal from opening photos from Lightroom to photoshop beta to use gen fill AI until they get the bug worked out for the newest version of Lightroom classic

I'm having same issue -- Generative Fill is no longer working in 24.7, but 25 will not open files from Lightroom anymore. Can you please fix? I need both to be working. 24.7 was working just fine until the generative fill feature was removed.

Same here. Version 24.7 was our temporary fix until version 25 was fixed. Now they have taken away generative fill in version 24.7 and still not fixed version 25 to allow us to open files direct from Lightroon Classic.
