Question

2025 Can't Save Gifs, Adobe Photoshop v26.9

This has been an ongoing problem for weeks and it's really butchering my workflow. Whenever I try to save a .gif to any location on my mac, I get a "Save for Web Error" pop up and not sure why. Recently I updated all of my Adobe programs + restarted my computer and I guess it's still bugging. I have the same legacy settings for gif-ing on my personal mac and have no problems exporting but for the current mac I'm using it's being weird

Really need a solve for this

Hey, @greg_2139. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I've reviewed the account you've used to log in to the community and found three profiles in your account, one of which has an active subscription from an Enterprise.

There are a few layers to this:

First, check with the Enterprise IT support Admin to understand if Photoshop has the required permissions: https://adobe.ly/4mkLJMj

If an IT team manages the device and has OneDrive set up, you may not be able to make changes to this at an individual level.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!
