Acer Nitro XV275KP for Photoshop

Question

I have had iMac 27" and now owning iMac 24" M1. After 2,5 years with use, I'm confident that 24" is too small. I want 27". Sadly, I need to buy monitor separately and as of now, studio display is too expensive. That's why I'm looking into Acer Nitro XV275KP. In Norway it's on sale. Is this a good monitor for editing? Will I notice the difference going from 4,5K 24" to this one? I didn't notice much difference in resolution from 27" 5K to 24" 4,5K.

Any advice for a monitor, which isn't Apple?

The difference between 27" 5K and 24" 4,5k is 3 ppi (217 vs 214), so almost none, while a 27" 4k is ~55 ppi lower than that (163). Noticing a difference depends on eyesight and view distance, so might be subjective. I personally don't see any pixels viewing a 27" 4k from ~50cm view distance, so it's sharp enough for me.

The monitor you're asking about is marketed as a gaming monitor due to the high refresh rate. But it seems to have good color accuracy as well. I'd advise you to check out rtings.com which have very good reviews on various monitors for each use, including the Acer Nitro you're asking about. You can check out reviews on editing monitors and see which ones are available in Norway and their prices, as they can vary significantly between countries and especially between the US and European markets.

The Acer ProArt screens are ideal for content creation.  I have one and am very happy with it.
