ACR (17.4.1.2280) not opening in Photoshop 2025 26.8.1

Hi @magicdow, Thank you for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear about your issue.

Please share more information, such as your system configuration, from Help> System info> Copy and paste the contents into a text file and attach it to your response. Since when did you start noticing this issue? Was it after an update to the applications or an update to the OS? Is this occurring with all Raw files or just certain one's? 

While we wait you can try out these fixes, see if they change anything.

1) Reset Bridge's preferences: Please refer to this Helpx article for steps and further information: https://adobe.ly/3TzVTMm

2) Reset Camera RAW preferences: You may refer to this part of our Helpx article on Manage Camera Raw settings for steps and more information.

3) Check File Type Associations in Bridge:

• In Bridge, go to Edit > Preferences.
• In the Preferences dialog, select the File Type Associations tab.
• Scroll down to find the file extension of your raw files (e.g., .NEF for Nikon, .CR2 for Canon, .ARW for Sony).
• Click on the Photoshop icon next to the file extension and ensure that Adobe Photoshop 2025 is selected from the dropdown menu.
• Click OK to save the changes.
