ACR Gradient Mask Problem

When applying a linear or circular gradient mask in the ACR filter the gradient handles are visible as I draw out the gradient.  When I release the mouse button they disappear and the mask is fixed and no longer editable.  The same thing happens in Lightroom Classic Develop module.  The gradient tool works normally in Photoshop proper.

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) respectively the ACR dialog visible?

I’ve conducted a thorough examination on a Windows platform and I’m pleased to report that all functionalities are performing as expected. Specifically, I’ve been able to successfully modify the gradient on the mask, even after confirming and reopening it from Photoshop. It’s worth noting that my testing was carried out using a Smart Object.

As for the software version, could you please provide more details? It would be helpful to know which version you’re referring to?

Just apply filter>> camera Raw Filter to a layer, and create your own mask layer as detailed as you would like.
