I need to change a bunch for png’s to jps. As usual, I have recorded the action to export and save a jpgs. And I have saved the action which shows in my action window. I go to Automate > batch and do the usual process, however there are two errors occurring at various times of trying to batch automate the same file as it hasn’t been doing what it should do:It looks like photoshop is doing its thing, however, once done, no files have been saved as instructed. The files are saving but without the instructed actions actioned. Saving as the originals.P.S. I have been using this process for decades without issue. And I even used uit successfully just before the action panel was changed by Adobe. I have a big deadline and need this sorted asap. Please help!Thank you.

You can switch to the classic Actions panel. Use the panel menu (fly-out), and choose Classic Actions.

Use the panel menu (fly-out), and choose Classic Actions.

The panel menu is in the upper right corner of the panel. It has 3 lines and is colloquially called a “hamburger” menu.

I have managed to work around this for now by using the “save as” option instead of “export” while recording the Action, and it seems to be working. It would be great if Photoshop recording any action requested though, as this is an issue currently.

Hi, can you clarify - do the actions fail each time or they fail intermittently and some files are fine, others are not? I'm a bit confused about "errors occurring at various times of trying to batch automate the same file", when you also talk about converting multiple PNG files to JPGs. You can post a screenshot of the batch window too so we can see the settings.

Hello. Thank you for responding. I have uploaded a video. In this video I have toggle off the overide action, and it save the files as originals, without adding the instructed actions. With the Override option ticked, it looks like its processing the action, but there are no files saved in the requested folder.

Hey, I watched the video, I noticed that the Export command doesn't get recorded, so the action is essentially empty. I have always used Save As for actions & batch processing, so not sure when this issue started. Export doesn't get recorded with either classic or new actions panel it seems.
