Hello,

Adobe apps (premiere, AE, ...) do not want to use any files in my External Drive (MyBookDuo) .

It says that rights are not opened or Drive unaccessible, despite I have opened all rights (Write/read) and Drive is completly accessible.
My computer is an IMAC retina 27, connection from my imac to the external hard drive is Thunderbolt 2 to USBC. The ext drive is "My Book Duo 8G".

Adobe appspropose me to work on the local drive only (which is not big enough)

Any solutions please?

Thank you

Hi @sylvette_6884,

I understand how frustrating it can be when your external drive isn’t recognized by our apps, especially when you rely on it for large projects. Let’s try to troubleshoot this together:

1. Check Drive Permissions: It sounds like you’ve already set the permissions to read and write, but let’s double-check:

• Right-click on the external drive and select Get Info.

• Under Sharing & Permissions, ensure your user account has Read & Write access.

2. Format Compatibility: Our apps often work best with drives formatted as exFAT or Mac OS Extended (Journaled) on Mac. If your drive is formatted differently, consider reformatting it. Be sure to back up your data before reformatting.

3. Grant Full Disk Access to Adobe Apps:

• Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Full Disk Access.

• Add Adobe apps to the list by clicking the “+” button.

If the issue persists, would you mind sharing additional details? For instance:

• The format of your external drive.

• Any error messages you’re receiving.

• A screenshot or screen recording of the issue, if possible.

Your input will help us investigate further and find a solution for you. Let me know how it goes!

Best,

Anshul Saini
