Adobe Camera Raw filter - auto scaling

I frequently use the Adobe Camera Raw filter in Adobe Photoshop to import and correct leveling issues in images. Recently, I've noticed that whenever I use the level button under Geometry, the image itself would be correctly level, but the auto scale function no longer works, leaving blank spaces around the corner. I can manually scale under Manual Transformations, but this slows down my workflow significantly. Is there a setting I'm missing to get the auto-scaling back?
