Adobe Photoshop 100 Cc [RAM errors running CC 2015.5.1 on Win 10]

We are running this on Windows 10 at a school. When the students go to save their pictures it comes up with a RAM memory error. Not sure how to fix this.

You are running Photoshop on old Core 2 Duo computers with 4GB of RAM and 80GB hard drives. Odds are, you will have problems as these are right at the minimum requirements, especially under Windows 10.

I realize edu budgets are a problem, but upgrading the RAM and hard drives will really help. A bunch of, say, 160GB SSD's would be a HUGE help, and 8GB of RAM is a lot more realistic.

You also want to update Photoshop as there is a known memory bug that was fixed recently.

I didn't want to upgrade these computers to Windows 10 do you think it

would be a good idea if we put them back to Windows 7? I know they are old

but we do not have the funds at this time to upgrade them and Photoshop ran

just fine on Windows 7 on these computers.

As Ged said Photoshop is not using of your RAM. It is a known issue that came along with Windows earlier this year. Upgrding to the latest version of Photoshop (which is part of the CC subscription) resolves the issue. If there is a reason not to do that upgrade, then apply the fix linked by Ged will also resolve it. I would do that rather than stepping back your OS.

    Hi

What version of Photoshop are you using, if it's pre CC2018 then you will most likely need to apply this fix

Error while accessing performance preferences - 'An integer between 96 and 8 is required.'

This issue was fixed in version CC2018

If you can post Photoshop's system info I may be able to verify that, in Photoshop go to Help > System Info and copy and paste that into this thread
