    The one factor that more than anything affects big file performance, is the scratch disk. You need lots of free space, anywhere from 500GB and up. It also needs to be on a fast drive to not be a bottleneck.

     

    Apart from that, you need a decent GPU, preferably not older than 5 years or so.

      When working on more significant documents, the cache build-up is faster, and the amount of info that is getting processed & pre-processed is heavier. There are layers to how the performance can change depending on scale of your project.
