i update photoshop cc 2017 to 2018 this morning..and shock~ i can't preview my photoshop app design on iphone ..and i found the answer..
"Device Preview is no longer available in this release. Additionally, the Preview CC iOS app is no longer available for download or actively maintained as of October 2017. If you have a previously-downloaded version of Preview CC on your iOS device, you can continue to use it on an as-is basis with earlier versions of Photoshop"

so now.. how can i get real-time previews of my Photoshop designs on iOS devices ?

why Adobe takes off this feature??? TT....

The lack of this one feature prompts me to switch to sketch.

This is crap, but if you have a mac you have nothing to worry about.

Use the app we used before Adobe Preview

Skala Preview

In theory yes. But I tried Skala out, and the performance was far worse than Device Preview built into Photoshop CC itself. I actually have 0 performance issues with Device Preview on 2017 CC, so their claim that it was for performance is BS. Skala is really laggy and intensive on resources for me. I had to resort to downgrading back to 2017 CC.

Frustration. I was really happy with device preview and now! Same with Reflow and other tools.

I think I need to move to a non Adobe mockup tool. Photoshop and XS seems not to be the right choice and further I don´t want to use software which changes all 3 months. Updates and improvements o.k. but not unexepexted software and features downgrades. That´s the problem with subscription packages. We all are slaves of them.

This is very frustrating, I use Adobe Preview so much in my work. Let's hope they realise their mistake and bring it back. Might have to downgrade in the meantime, which is a shame as I really like the new search function.

Just uninstalled 2018 and downgraded back to 2017 because of this. Adobe, I seriously cannot believe the ignorance behind this decision. Why would you remove one of the absolute best features of Photoshop CC 2017 and kill UI designers incentive to keep using CC products?

Hello everybody! If this is the case, I recommend putting this iOS application:

Canvas for Photoshop в App Store

It seems to work well

This totally solves my problem.  Thanks for suggesting Canvas for Photoshop!  Woohoo!

Adobe,

I use Photoshop to make ads for iPhone and iPad for large companies like Disney and Universal that involve illustrations and creating within Photoshop.  It's crucial that I can view these quickly on my mobile devices.  Having to save an image and open it in XD or send to my devices takes a lot of time out of my work day since I'd be doing it many times a day.  Please consider bringing this product back.

Does anyone know of third party plug-ins that do this?

Hello everyone,

Sorry you are upset and I totally understand your frustration. I loved using Preview across all of my devices as well.

However, XD is a great and easy to use program. There isn't a huge learning curve and it is available for Windows based computers. This is a new direction for you but if you try it I am sure you will eventually like it. If not, you also have the option of running 2017 and/or 2018 versions on your computer. I still have 2014, 2017, and 2018 because of certain features.

FYI...There is a note at the top of this page that explains that preview will no longer work. Device Preview in Photoshop.

I hope one of these solutions helps.

I know you're trying to help Happie and I appreciate it, but your reply actually reveals the true motive behind the move. Preview was taken away to force users to use XD. This is a short-sighted tactic that does more harm than good.

I already use Adobe XD. I'm fond of it and it does a good job. However, XD is still a young product and has many shortcomings and there are situations where Photoshop is still the right program to use. Now I am forced to copy and paste into XD in order to preview on my device, and if minor tweaks are needed, the process of copying and pasting over and over can be tedious.

This was a bad move on Adobe's part and I'm disappointed. I've never been more open to looking at alternatives than I am today.

Absolutely, your point is well received Grokked.

I am also a user just like you and I miss Preview as well. You are right, XD is not a replacement for this, it is just the alternative we have right now. I am with you in hoping that Preview, a major XD update to add those same features Preview has, or some alternative is brought back soon.

How can this be true?

It makes no sense at all!

Adding a great feature an then... Adobe says "Sorry, we've decided that you shouldn't be able to preview your designs in mobile, because sales stuff and KPI's and ROI's and the user really doesn't matters."

What  are we paying for?

@Adobe this is very frustrating, please bring the Preview feature back (into the CC 2018 update)
