After creating a curve layer, I can set points onto the curve. But the points can not be moved. After restarting photoshop, the points on the curve can be moved and set to the desired values. Adding numerical values works neither

What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
