After edit command is complete (regenerate) photo remains pixilated. Does not resolve pixxellation to continue editing. Problem is in the downloaded photoshop program, online photoshop, beta AND regular, and lightroom.

Thanks for reporting this. I’d like to clarify one aspect of the behavior before we determine whether this is a rendering issue or related to the resolution of the generated content.
 

After Generative Fill completes and you select one of the generated variations, is only the newly generated area pixelated, or does the entire original image become pixelated as well?
 

Could you also let us know:

• At approximately what zoom level does the pixelation become visible — 100%, 200%, 400%, etc.?

• If you return to 100% zoom, does the generated area still look noticeably pixelated?

• Does the pixelation remain if you export/save a JPEG and view that exported file outside Photoshop?

• What are the pixel dimensions of the original image (for example, 6000 × 4000 px)?

• Approximately how large is the Generative Fill selection relative to the full image?
   

Most importantly, could you share a screenshot at 100% zoom showing the problem and, if possible, a short screen recording of making the selection through to completion of Generative Fill, then zooming into the result?
 

You mentioned seeing similar behavior in Photoshop desktop, Photoshop Beta, Photoshop on the web, and Lightroom, so an example will help us determine whether you’re seeing the same behavior in all four applications or whether the symptoms differ between them.
 

Once we can see whether this is the generated region remaining low-resolution or the Photoshop canvas failing to resolve from a lower-resolution preview, we’ll have a much better direction for troubleshooting.
