After upgrading to 25.6 and 25.7, the program often becomes unresponsive when using the object selection tool or Spot Healing Brush. (The current phenomenon is as follows: I can switch between the opened pictures, but I cannot switch the tools on the left toolbar by clicking the mouse. The previously selected tools also cannot further produce any effect.). which can be reproduced repeatedly. After downgrading back to 25.5.1, the problem disappeared.

By setting a compatibility option in Microsoft IME, the problem can be temporarily solved. I followed the method in the post and after a simple test, it seems to be normal now. However, this is just a preliminary judgment and further observation is needed.

@gartour32915739245z if you havent already tried - first try resetting your Photoshop preferences manually. Note: Reinstalling does not automatically reset them so you could be installing over bad preference files:
