Alt+Backspace not working

Hi,

I am using PhotoshopCC, the shortcut "Alt+Backspace" which I was using to fill foreground colour is not working, where the shortcut "Cntrl+Backspace" which is to fill background colour is working properly.

please help.

Hello, @SajidAttar can you check the blending mode and opacity in use? Maybe the BM is one that will not show any change with the chosen color.

Try also to switch the foreground and background colors with the "X" key to see if it is the ALT+Backspace or the color that is a problem.

Thanks for your reply,
when I toggle foreground colour to background colour I face the same issue,
while the Control+Backspace is working properly.
infact when I apply Alt+Backspace and something is selected the same colour
or image pastes on the new layer and same thing repeats even after
deselecting.

Hi, are you on Photoshop 24.1?

Can you post a screenshot of the issue?

Which OS, more info about your system

Did you try, as suggested, to restore your preferences to the default using this manual method?
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually it lets you keep a copy on the desktop that you can use to revert the process.

I've check this with PS 24.1 running on Windows 10 22H2 and it works fine.

Try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

Preferences in Photoshop (adobe.com)

Please backup your settings before resetting the preferences. You can check:

Migrate presets, actions, and settings (adobe.com)

If this doesn't help we need more informations about your system.

Which operating system do you use?

Which version of Photoshop do you use?

Please post the exact version not only phrases like "recent", "latest" and so on.
