Apply Image question

When using the Apply Image feature (PS 2025) on a new blank layer above adjustment layers, is it possible to make changes to the adjustment layers below that will be reflected in the new Apply Image layer?  I use the merge setting option on the Apply Image layer.  I have found that the only way to do this is to delete the Apply Image layer, make the changes to the adjustment layers and redo the Apply Image.  Does anyone have any information on this?  Thanks!

@david_gordon have you thought of using a different way? Sure your Apply Image method works, instead of having to constantly delete and re-apply, you should use a Stamp Visible method, which is completely non-destructive and dynamically linked to your underlying layers. Simply select the new, blank layer where you want your merged result to appear, and press Command Option Shift E. This command creates a merged copy of all visible layers below it onto the selected layer, but here's the magic: if you right-click the stamped layer and choose "Convert to Smart Object," you can then apply your layer blend mode (like 'Multiply' or 'Overlay') to this Smart Object. Now, if you go back and tweak any of the adjustment layers below it, the stamped layer will automatically update to reflect those changes, making your entire process seamless and iterative.
