"Artboard Export" commands fail if "Include Background in Export" is checked
Issue:
Trying to use either "Artboard Export as PDF" or "Artboard Export as File" commands with the "Include Background in Export" option checked gives a "User cancelled the operation" error and fails to save the images or PDF. Without the option checked, the files are saved with a white background regardless of what color I selected using "Artboard background color". I don't always want white backgrounds.
- Photoshop version: Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.3.1 20231212.r.241 46eb480 x64
- Problem was present in previous updates.
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (Version: 10 10.0.19045.3803)
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new file.
- Right click on the Background layer and select New Artboard. Click Ok.
- Delete "Layer 0"
- Select Artboard tool and change the "Artboard background color" (using the Artboard toolbar or the Properties panel) to something not transparent (or just leave it white)
- Create a new Layer
- Go to File > Export > Artboards to PDF (or Artboards to File)
- After specifying a destination folder for the saved files, check "Include Background in Export" and hit the Run button.
Expected result:
The artboards would be saved as images or PDF files using the chosen background color.
Actual result:
A "Script Alert" pop-up says "Error: User cancelled the operation" and nothing was exported.
If I set the artboard background to transparent, I can export with "Include Background" checked, but that defeats the purpose what the option sounds like it's supposed to do.
