Artboards are no longer collapsible after changing interface colour

Issue: If I leave Photoshop in its default state I can dropdown my artboards in the layer panel no problems. However, if I go into Edit > Preferences > Interface and change it from the second darkest grey to the darkest grey and save changes, my artboards can no longer be opened or closed, they are stuck in whatever state I left them before changing the colour theme.

PS Version: 25.6.0
OS: Windows 10 Pro
Version - 22H2
OS Build - 19045.4291

Hi Sameer,

Thanks for your response! I have since updated to v25.9 and tried changing colour theme and it seems to be working now 🙂

Thanks for your assistance!

Also, the only way I figured out how to fix it is by resetting preferences on quit under the "General" tab under preferences. Simply changing the colour theme back to the default theme doesn't have any effect.

Hey, @Graeme Duncan. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Before troubleshooting, update Photoshop to the latest version (v25.7) via the Creative Cloud desktop app & check if the issue exists.

Please record a video of the steps & share it with the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.

I've tried to recreate this, but I couldn't with Photoshop 2024 v25.7 & v27.9 (beta).

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!
