Question

Asset Review shows old assets after duplicating PSD

Issue:

When I duplicate a PSD file on Mac that already has an Asset Review link, rename it, and make changes to the new file, the new Asset Review link still shows assets from the original file.

Expected:

The new link should only show assets from the updated PSD.

Observed:

It often pulls in assets from the original file, even after renaming and editing.

Note:

This happens frequently, across multiple Photoshop versions.

System:

  • macOS
  • Photoshop: Multiple versions

Hey, @Omineus. Thanks for the detailed post. We'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

I've tried to recreate this, but I couldn't recreate it exactly. Could you share a video of your workflow to showcase the exact behavior?

Also, please test and confirm if the issue exists with the Projects (beta) workspace in Photoshop (Beta). https://adobe.ly/4meTMK8

You can get Photoshop (beta) from the Creative Cloud > Apps tab > Beta Apps section.

Thanks!
