Question

ASSIGN/SET DEFAULT FONT DEPENDING ON LANGUAGE

Just wondering if there is a way to set or assign default font depending on a certain language? Like for example, when I input Chinese characters, Photoshop chooses an assigned font, when I put Thai characters, it automatically changes to Tahoma, when I put Arabic, it changes to a assigned Arabic font, and so on and so forth. Something like that? Is that possible??

That's probably possible with Event Listener. After you type the text and apply the change Ps is going to change it to appropriate font (of course if specified at beginning of script). The most hardest job would be to connect it to languages database so it could compare entered text with available samples.

When typing in another language you need to change more than the font, you also need to change the text language. You may need to change other typesetting options too. So I recommend you create a style for each language, which sets everything you need, and lets you add more fixes later.

No, there is no way to do that in Photoshop, currently. You can put in a feature request at this link:
