Automated Crop and Straighten - Error Message
I've been scanning lots of old family photos using the automated "crop and straighten" in PS 2023 to digitize them. Today for some reason, when I tried to do this same workflow on some new scans (multiple photos on the same scan) and got an error message "An Error has Occurred."
First I tried to call support, after leading me through their automated system for 15 minutes (select 1 for current customer, 1 for Photoshop, etc etc) I then got a message that says I've called outside of operating hours. Maybe lead with that in your automated message! That put me in a worse mood.
I launcnched a chat, which led to a screen takeover and a LONG call (over an hour). Where they landed - I'm not supposed to scan more than one photo at a time (even though I've already done hundreds that way) and I need to size the scan down after I import it (I didn't have to do this previously) and I need to unlock and delete the background layer first (Again, before all I had to do was import, select "automate>crop and straighten photos" and the rest was automatic. Now, today, they're telling me I have to do all these extra steps to avoid an error message and I feel like I'm being gaslit.
To add insult to injury, the post-support email was sent to me 28 times. What on earth is going on? I've only been a Creative Cloud customer for a few months and this is my first real experience with them, and it made me want to tear my hair out. Someone PLEASE tell me they're wrong - that they're overcomplicating it and there's some way to get back to my more simple workflow!
