AVIF image support

I'm getting more and more requests from clients to deliver AVIF due to the superior compression and color options.

 

It looks like the development and integration is surprisingly rapid for avif with even WordPress and others already announcing native support.

 

It would be nice to see Photoshop not falling behind and adding support asap for what looks to be the new standard codec for image content delivery online.

 

Does anyone know of a plugin adding AVIF maybe until adobe decides to add support?

    In Lightroom, exporting to AVIF format is possible. Opening it in Camera Raw. We are waiting for...

      I don't know of a plug in, but if AVIF is important to you you may want to add comments and upvote the feature request here: https://feedback.photoshop.com/conversations/photoshop/when-will-avif-support-be-added-to-photoshop/5f5f46314b561a3d4278baf4
