background eraser??????

okay not sure if there was an update or something but yesterday the background eraser tool ahd the little triangle in the corner where you could select the eraser tool to use but today it's gone! it just shows the eraser but no triangle to select background eraser! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
