Backspace deletes layer (PC)

Keyboard shortcut fans,

Long time user of 'shop, but I've *only* just descovered that you can delete (and accidentally delete) a layer in Photoshop with backspace.

Nice.

However, this cannot be changed or overwritten in the keyboard shortcuts. Why, Adobe? Why?

Excuses on a postcard, please...

I would really like to recieve postcard from Adobe with reasoning behind this madness as well.

There are many shortcuts you can not change or overid.
