BOUGHT PHOTOSHOP CC FOR MAC, CAN I INSTALL IT ON WINDOWS?

Hello.

I have Photoshop's basic Photography 20GB plan. I originally bought it for use on my MacBook, but I do *not* have the MacBook anymore as I switched to a Windows laptop; can I install Photoshop on said laptop? If it helps, the MacBook is gone because I sold it which means Photoshop and all Creative Cloud-related things were unistalled and completely removed from it beforehand.
Thank you so much and have a great Sunday.

Theh I can install it without worries. Thank you.

The only limitation is you can activate up to two installations for a single-user license.

That means:

  • You can install, and leave installed, Creative Cloud apps on any number of Macs and PCs.
  • You can activate up to two of those installations at any time. So if you need to move among a number of computers at home/work/school/hotel etc, sign out of Creative Cloud on one computer to be allowed to sign in on another so that the total number of activations doesn’t exceed two.

You can actually have both.  As you are allowed to active installations, one can be Mac, and the other Windows.  I have the CC subscription installed on three systems, but only use one of them at any given time.  If I switch to the computer that Creative Cloud is not activated, I get a pop up asking me which one to sign out of?  It is as quick as clicking on the new system, and clicking OK and it imeadiately starts working for you.

Note: this is not from my computer. Just an image I found with Google.

Technically yes, but I already have Photoshop installed on my iPad and that counts for 1 installation so I can only install Ps on 1 other PC/device -- that's why I needed to be sure the plan/license is cross-platform as the app itself.

I am not sure that the iPad counts as a license, IIRC, it is only for your desktop/laptop installs.

The answer is yes, Creative Cloud is cross-platform.

Just download and install the CC desktop app and sign in with your username (email) and password.

If you forgot to sign out of the previous installation, you can sign out remotely.

I know, but I asked because I wasn't sure if licenses are too or if they are exclusive to the o.s. you bought them for.

The license is cross-platform. So just go ahead and install with the license you have.
