Question

Bounding box / transform controls mostly invisible bug

Hi there!

I've seen this / a similar issue posted about before, but my bug seems a bit different.

Note, I'm on a 2013 imac, yes I know it's old, but the hardware has been beefed up with lots of ram and a solid state HD.

Since one of the newer updates, my photoshop bounding boxes / transform controls are USUALLY invisible, until i sort of guess where they are, and click them/start transforming they appear.

I tried the usual suspects: transform controls is checked, i reset my preferences, i tried different versions.

I almost seems more like a bug with my video card or something, but everything else is working fine.

Any ideas?

If you restore your preferences using this manual method does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

Hi there,

Could you please try deselecting "Use Graphics Processor" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps?

Hi there, thanks for the tip. It is unchecked ;  I don't believe that my graphics card even supports this feature as it's pretty outdated.
