Broken file associations

After the update 26.6.0  file associations stopped working. Previously, double-clicking on a jpg, tif, or png file opened Photoshop, but now it opens Preview.app.
Forcibly changing the file association with the program does not work.

I'm having the same issue. Using Get Info to change a specific file type to open in PS 2025 and choosing Change All does nothing, I can visually see the selected app default back to a different app (Acrobat, Illustrator, etc). Choosing Photoshop 2025 does not stick.

@BoomeArt  Do you have test the step for MacOS described in the linked document in @Srishti Bali post?

There's no mention of a reinstallation.

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 5 - Topaz Photo

I have only Photoshop and Lightroom, no other Adobe app. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help.

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please try the steps outlined here: https://adobe.ly/4jK1fzv and let us know if that resolves the issue?
