brush blending modes not working

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. To add to the information requested above, could you please share your system information (Help> System Info> Copy-paste the whole report here) along with a sample recording of the issue?

This will help us better understand the problem, investigate it further, and report the issue to the product team.

A couple of folks have posted in this thread that they are not having the issue. To help us try to better assist, can you post a screenshot that includes:

• Tools panel with Brush tool selected
• Options bar for the Brush tool
• Layers panel

Sorry for my earlier remark. It wasn’t clear to me that you were overlapping your brush strokes. I have no problem with this in Photoshop 2026 on my Mac.

Ok, Checked with my firends on their PC workstations and accounts. It’s the same bug for Photoshop 2026. Blending options for bruses not working!

(No problems @PS 2025 and PS Beta).

So yeah. Thanks Adobe! You should charge even more from us for even more bugs like this!

You are painting on white, so most (if not all) blending modes won’t do anything because there is nothing to blend with.
