Hi @Sameer K and thanks for your reply. I’m attaching the system info. It doesn’t happen after any specific steps, it occurs with any input tablet (except the mouse) and with any brush that has Transfer enabled (pen pressure to opacity/flow). One action I do quite often, maybe it’s just me, is using “Clear Brush Controls” from the brush settings.
I installed the previous versions 26.5 and 26.8.1, and the build-up works normally there.
The same issue in the Beta version 26.10.0.
Thanks!

Hey, @Paolo Domeniconi. I just checked in with the team. This is a recent change in favor of performance with pressure-sensitive stylus tips.
You can turn off this behavior by adding an optional extension following the steps listed here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/enable-optional-extensions-photoshop-cc.html
You'll need to create a plain text (.txt) file in Text Editor on macOS > and paste this.
DisableTabletRepeatingPaintMarks 1
Save the text file as PSUserConfig.txt and paste it in the location mentioned in the content above.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Sameer K
