Brush Tool Not Drawing

Here are some things to check when your brush is not drawing:

• Is the layer a Smart Object? If so, you need to open the SO
• Check the opacity for both the brush and for the layer
• Check the blending mode for both the brush and for the layer
• Does the layer have any of the lock options applied to it?
• Can you paint with a different brush?
• Can you paint in a new document?

Usually it happened when the layer is locked.
