bug in gradient fill

There's a bug when applying a gradient fill through a selection. The entire image at certain magnifications suddenly fills the entire screen with the  gradient and not the gradient through just the selection!  These are quite large PSB files but nothing huge. If you zoom in or out it will clear but it remains at certain zooms. running on an 2025 apple M4 max top spec macbook pro with 128 gb of memory.

To reproduce - open large psb file - multiple layers, create type, select type, draw gradient and apply mask of the selected type which creates a new layer. The gradient has a few effects like emboss drop shadow etc. Carry on as normal with retouching and after a few zooms in and out the entire gradient appears at certain zoom settigns obscuring the rest of the image. Note I've obscured the logos in the file...

Thanks for reporting this, and sorry you're running into such a frustrating issue. It does sound like a display glitch tied to zoom levels and rendering. To help us investigate further, could you please share your Photoshop System Info? You can get it by going to Photoshop > Help > System Info. 
Then copy and paste the full details here (or save it as a .txt and attach it to your response). This will help us check your exact GPU, driver versions, and other settings that might be contributing to the issue.
