I have one (very tiny) idea.

@28595393 , when @Mark.Dahm  said, "go to Photoshop > Preferences > Technology Preview  and uncheck 'Deactivate Native Canvas', restart (if it was checked)", did you also restart Photoshop after unchecking the option?

@28595393 ,

Gotcha.

You are experiencing this lagginess with a single layer document (you mentioned jpeg earlier)? I'm running out of ideas; we are not seeing a lot of reports of M2 performance problems with Ps, and can't repro in house, so it might be worth doing a hardware diagnostic if we run out of ideas (which I'm close to doing).

OK, thanks. Adobe offers an option to install and carry forward the preferences, so if you are reinstalling the app, it doesn't also mean that the preferences are fresh as a daisy (necessarily).

My Ps usage allows me to NOT carry forward my preferences from previous installations, and I can configure the Creative Cloud app to NOT do that by default.

(gotta uncheck that box shown above)

@28595393 ,

If that option was checked, that would mean that your preferences were not completely rebuilt (or maybe they were, then you checked it?).

If you haven't already, try blowing away your preferences by going to Photoshop > Preferences > General and clicking the 'Reset Preferences on Quit' button.

Keep an eye on the that GPU mode indicator to see if certain things might be kicking Photoshop out of its native canvas mode during the session; OpenGL mode will certainly be laggy, and sometimes running Ps can boot itself out of Metal mode (if there is a driver issue, for example).

Oh, and just to re-confirm, we are aware of a lagging issue within Liquify, and are working on a fix; it only seems to affect M2 hardware.

liqufiy is laggy and unrespoding a lot . i can not work on liqufiy ..... Adobe need to take a look at it and fix the performance bug issue and need to be more optimise on M2, M2 Pro, M2 Max...  Thank you!
